Bidh fèisean a’ gabhail àite air feadh na h–Alba a h–uile bliadhna. Tachraidh Fèis Cheilteach Innse Gall (Heb Celt) ann an Steòrnabhagh a h–uile samhradh far am bi ceòl math ri chluinntinn. Canaidh sinn Oidhche na Taigeise (Night of the Haggis) ris an fhèill seo sa Ghàidhlig. Tha buidheann cudromach ann air a bheil an t–ainm Fèisean nan Gàidheal a chuireas fèisean ionadail air dòigh do chlann, agus do dh’inbhich, aig a bheil ùidh ann an ceòl agus anns a’ Ghàidhlig.

How did you get on?

Festivals take place across Scotland every year. The Hebridean Celtic Festival (Heb Celt) happens in Stornoway every summer where good music can be heard. If you prefer to see a comic or play, go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which happens in Edinburgh in August. Bands, actors, plays and more can be seen at these different festivals.

Festivals happen in cities and towns across the country too. People mark Saint Andrew’s Day at the end of November and the birthday of Robert Burns in January. We call this festival Night of the Haggis in Gaelic. There is an important organisation called Fèisean nan Gàidheal (Festivals of the Gaels) which organises local festivals for children, and adults, who have an interest in music and in Gaelic.
