We use ath to mean ‘next’ in Gaelic. Ath comes before a noun and lenites it where possible.
ath

an ath oidhche

Hyphens are used with an ath- to form adverbs of time, such as an-ath-oidhch’ ‘tomorrow night’, which is different from an ath oidhche ‘the next /following night’. Ath comes before a noun and lenites it where possible.
