Unlike in English, Gaelic has a word for the language of a country, and a different word for the people or culture of that country. In English ‘French’ could describe a language, person, food, music and so on, but in Gaelic the language would be Fraingis, and a person from France, or French food, music and so on would be described as Frangach.
