Fiadh-bheatha

Wildlife

In Cuspair 13 of A1, we looked at peataichean (pets). In this final lesson of A2 you’ll learn new words for beathaichean fiadhaich (wild animals), na h-eòin (the birds) and craobhan (trees).

The word beathaichean means animals, but you will also hear beothaichean and remember that we learned another word for animals back in A1, Cuspair 13: ainmhidhean.

There were a few words for different beathaichean in the conversation.

As you know already, Gaelic dialects and usage vary. It’s always good to check your dictionary, and if you can, ask a native speaker what words they would use.
