Wind power is a renewable power that has been used for centuries.
How does it work?
Wind turbines use the wind to generate electricity.
It’s in open spaces/places that we find most of the wind turbines and very often they are in big groups called wind farms.
We (can) see the wind farms both on land (onshore) and offshore.
Because we are looking at stability for the future, would we say that there are any disadvantages at all?
Well, some people think there are.

Here’s another chance to think. It’s quite a substantial topic, so you can take your time. If you have a Gaelic–speaking friend, you could do this together.
Have a conversation or think about wind farms:
The excerpt above says that there are probably disadvantages with wind farms, but what are these disadvantages?
As usual, we’ve given you a head start with these questions:
A bheil thu den bheachd gu bheil tuathanasan–gaoithe grànda?
Do you think that wind farms are ugly?
An dèan crainn–ghaoithe cron air beathaichean no air eòin?
Do wind turbines harm animals or birds?
A bheil togail nan crann–gaoithe cosgail?
Is building of wind turbines costly?
Dè do bheachd fhèin air crainn–ghaoithe agus tuathanasan–gaoithe?
What is your own opinion of wind turbines and wind farms?
A bheil nas motha buannachdan ann na eas–bhuannachdan?
Are there more advantages than disadvantages?
A bheil tuathanasan–gaoithe nas gràinde na tha ionadan–ola no stèiseanan–cumhachd niùclasach?
Are wind farms uglier than oil installations or nuclear–power stations?
