Bha mi fortanach gun deach mo thogail le Gàidhlig san dachaigh. Ach … gu mì-fhortanach cha d’ fhuair mi Foghlam tro Mheadhan na Gàidhlig nuair a bha mi fhìn san sgoil. I was fortunate in that I was brought up with Gaelic at home. But … unfortunately I didn’t get Gaelic medium education when I was at school.
Ach tha thu a’ teagasg aig a’ cholaiste tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig, nach eil? But you teach at the college through the medium of Gaelic, don’t you?
Tha, agus tha sin a’ còrdadh rium, ach ‘s e cleachdadh agus eòlas gu tur eadar-dhealaichte a tha sin. Yes, and I like that (I’m fond of that), but that is a completely different experience and practice.
