Gaelic films
Filmichean Gàidhlig
Not many Gaelic films have been made/produced recorded until now.
The only full-length film that is entirely in Gaelic—Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle—was filmed in Skye.
Information about this film can be found at:
On the website there is a trailer for the film and a summary of the stories that the grandfather tells throughout the film.
Watch the trailer and read the synopses.
If you get the chance, it would be worth watching the film.
There is another good film in Gaelic called Às an Eilean.
This will be on BBC ALBA now and again:
Keep an eye out for this film and try to watch it if you have a chance.
Although it is not exactly a film, the programme in three parts called Gruth is Uachdar or Crowdie and Cream is very good.
The programme is based on the books of Finlay J. MacDonald of Harris about his own life.
It is broadcast frequently on BBC ALBA and BBC English.
The full programme is available on the Stòrlann website here:
If you have time, watch the programme, or a clip of it.
