Many famous programmes have been broadcast in Gaelic.
In Scotland, children born in the 1980s and 1990s will be familiar with Dòtaman regardless of whether they spoke Gaelic or not.
Machair and Bannan are the most famous Gaelic drama programmes seen on the BBC.
And a new drama programme was broadcast recently, called An Clò Mòr.

The late Aonghas Dubh MacNeacail said that there should be
Gaelic voice-overs on English speakers on BBC ALBA and on
BBC Radio nan Gàidheal, but this has not happened yet.
