We have seen the preposition eadar (between) used in the course.
This behaves slightly different to other prepositions we have seen.
Because of its meaning, Eadar can only combine with the pronouns sinn, sibh and iad, to say (between us), (between you [pl]), or (between them) when there is no other person/thing to mention.
Pronouns which follow eadar are in the nominative case.
eadar + sinn | eadarainn | between us |
eadar + sibh | eadaraibh | between you [plural] |
eadar + iad | eatarra | between them |
Thàinig i eadar esan agus a bhiadh.

Bha iad eadar mise agus an doras.
They were between me and the door.
Cha tig duine eadarainn.
