Coimhearsnachd

Coimhearsnachd Gaelic

Dè tha am facal coimhearsnachd a' ciallachadh?

Bidh cuid den bheachd gur e daoine a chumas taic rinn, no nàbaidhean a bheireadh rudeigin dhuinn, a th' ann an coimhearsnachd.

Bidh cuid eile den bheachd gur e coimhearsnachd a th' anns an àite fhèin: na toglaichean, na h-ionadan no na clubaichean far an cruinnich daoine ri chèile.

Tha iomadh seòrsa coimhearsnachd ann.

Gheibhear coimhearsnachdan sgoile, coimhearsnachdan ionadail, coimhearsnachdan air-loidhne agus coimhearsnachdan cànain.

Tha coimhearsnachd timcheall air toglaichean eadar-dhealaichte far an coinnich daoine ri chèile: aig an eaglais, no talla coimhearsnachd, aig a' bhùth, agus uaireannan cruinnichidh daoine ann an cafaidh no taigh-seinnse.

Saoilidh cuid gu bheil ionadan Gàidhlig a dhìth, gu h-àraid sna bailtean-mòra leithid Inbhir Nis, Glaschu is Dùn Èideann.

Community English

What does the word community mean?

Some people think that a community is people who support us, or neighbours who would give us something.

Others believe that the place itself is a community: the buildings, the centres or the clubs where people come together.

There are many types of communities.

There are school communities, local communities, online communities and language communities.

There is a community around different buildings where people meet each other: at church, or community hall, at the shop, and sometimes people get together in a cafe or pub.

Some people think that Gaelic centres are needed, especially in the cities such as Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
